i got the t-5 trans connected to the motor already
just was wondering will it be easier to install the headers once the motor is position in the car or install them now with motor and trans outta the car?
its going in a 88lx notch

I've got long tubes on mine. If you have a multi piece set no problem installing them after the engine is in.
If the headers are 1 piece, position them roughly inplace. (mine went around the steering column) and keep tabs on them while you are positioning the motor.
You may also want to look closely at the clutch cable after the headers are connected. I tied mine back a bit to make sure that it did not touch the header tubes.
Also, have fun getting the starter in place. Make sure the starter cable is away from the headrs.
Lastly, is your using the O2 sensors, they will reach but tie them together to keep them away from the heat and from hanging.

Just drop the motor in and before its all the way dropped in slip the headers on.

these are bbk 1.5/8"long tubes
i am using the lift tabs from a stock 5.oh
(they bolt up to the heads)

Undo the motor mounts and jack the motor up. And like someone else mentioned, changing the starter will now be a major PITA.
