A firewall adjuster is a conveniance piece, NOT a performance piece. I have one and it makes adjusting your clutch CABLE a shit load easier. All I do is pop my hood, reach over to the firewall clutch cable adjuster and turn it for a higher/lower (or stiffer/softer) pedal grab in the car. It makes having an adjustable cable soooooooooo much easier to fuck with when you are already tired of getting under your car each week [Big Grin] [Big Grin] GET ONE DUDE!

I tried pulling up on the pedal and there is still alot of play and you still can hear the throwout bearing. So the firewall adjuster will solve this problem?

What do you mean, "you can still hear the TOB"?.... [Confused]

The extra play is needed to make sure you dont constantly ride the TOB and prematurely wear it out.....

I just installed a mcloed clutch and billet flywheel. I can hear my throwout bearing alreay. I haven't reved it past 2500. My clutch has alot of play in it. I went to mcleod yesterday and looked at the adjuster, it looked badass. The guy explained it. What im wondering is if i buy it will i be able to adjust it so the throwout bearing wont consistantly stay on the pressure plate? and can i make it how stiff i want the clutch?

If you can hear your TOB already then you already have a bad TOB.....When you say "hear", I think your talking about a high pitch squeal that happens when a TOB wears out...NO adjuster is gonna make a bearing better if its already gone!...

With the adjuster you adjust the length of the clutch cable to make the clutch disengage faster or slower depending on the pedal height...Basically, if you tighten up the clutch cable the clutch will engage closer to the bottom of the floor...

The only thing that sets how hard it is to depress the clutch is the springs on the actual pressure plate...Unless you change your pressure plate then you're stuck with the how the McLoad feels...
