Just bought a sport comp and plan to put it in my 65'. It was used and doesnt' have instructions

Red wire
Green wire
black wire
white wire

What do I hook them up to? I'm sure it's fairly easy so let me know! [patriot]

black is ground
green is the tach lead......goes to msd box or negative side of the coil
red is positve with ignition on
white is the dash lights....

what i always do is wire the red and white together and have had no problems.. so when the ignition is on the light is also on..

enjoy [burnout]

Hook the white wire to your dash lights so that the light is on only when the headlights are on. Unless you want them on all the time, then wire like onn2o says.

Yeah dont hook the white and red wires together. Just wire the white to your headlight switch so the tach light is only on when your headlight switch is on. Then do the rest like Rob said.

Wait, now i got a stupid question, what would be the difference between hooking the green wire up to the tach lead on the msd box or the (-) side of the coil? Is there a difference?

no difference.. Basically if you have an MSD box hook it up there, if you dont go to the coil...
