does anyone know how hard this is and if i need any thing special to do this?
as far as i know it should line right up?

it will line up correctly.
now are you puting a 79 dash in a 92, or the other way around [Confused]

You have to bend up the brackets by under the windshield. In the older ones, the screws went in at an angle. The newer ones go straight down. It's a PITA to get to the newer ones unless you don't have a windshield in.
