What would an auto tranny do if it was run without/really low on fluid? What kind of symptoms would it exhibit?

Dehydration... [Big Grin] j/k probably more kick when shifting from P to D.

It would'nt shift properly into the differnt gears and would kick harder than usual. It would also build up heat inside the tranny and eventually might cause it to start slipping.
