What is the normal oil pressure at idle on a 5.0, and how much should it raise as RPM goes up? I am going to by a real oil pressure gauge to check it, because I am worried about the low oil pressure reading on my car factory gauge.

when its hot, you'll want at least 20psi at idle and it should get past 50psi in the high rpms

stock op gauges are shit..
in your case your oil sending unit is puzzing out on you
i had this prob and corrected it with a new sending unit for 8 bucks ![[Whoo Whooooo!]](graemlins/woowoo.gif)
