anyone done it? how hard is it? any drawbacks from this. i am getting tired of the sound of the tire rubbing on it when i turn, and thought if i removed it it would eliminate it. thanks

you gain any clearance??

N20, don't take them out. Take both front wheels off and look where you are having the rubbing proglem. Then cut out a square out of that exact area.
Make sure you cut the hole about 2 inches away from wherever you are have evidence of rubbing.

any reason, not doubting, just asking?

They're there for a reason. You might run into some trouble later with little rocks getting flung everywhere, engine bay included.

I removed myne because I rolled my front fenders and wasn't ever able to re-use them. I have't had any problems with the removal of myne and its been almost 7 months.

I don't like the sound of the tire being able to rub on sheet metal

Rocks can easily be flung and create upward dings in your fenders. Air filter will be NASTY much quicker. Think of that when it rains.... Noise level will go UP a little. Rocks may be flung into brake lines, etc.....

As much as it rains here and this is going to be your daily driver I wouldn't do it Rob. Go with less tire width up front if the rubbing bugs you

No inner fenders wouldn't help your problem
