I'm putting in an ignition box and I need to splice a wire to the tach output. It the green wite to the coil what I'm looking for? Thanks.

check the autometer website, but im pretty sure its the green one going to your tach.

Your tach mounts like this....


Black to Ground


Red to switched 12V

White to switched parking lights

Green to the NEGATIVE side of the coil. (This wire may have been green at one point, but chances are its too dirty now to tell).

the output of the ignition box controls the coil and the input goes to the distributor,
ok if your going to run off the ignition box completly these are the colors from the distributor connector
dark blue, and black with orange are rpm signal to pcm
red with light blue are neutral safety +
red with light green are batt + to coil and TFI
dark green with yellow are coil -
and yellow with light green goes to the spout connector.
