If you are looking for top speed 4:10 is to high, for drag racing yes. 3:73 is a better choice

basically i jsut need to know from someone who knows like they say dont fear the gear, and some people are even telling me go 4:30 and many regret getting 3:73 from waht i hear 4:10 minimum in stangs

what is your goal? Top speed or track speed? Top speed I'd say 3.73's track speed I would go high as you can!

Because the cobra motor redlines so high, you can get away with running lower gears. Go with 4:30's, or if youre going to be blown, 4:10s.

Top speed is limited by the computer, and after that how much power you make. If you had the power, you could do around 220 with 4.10's.

the top speed is 150 cause it is limited there. That car is capable of way higher then that. get 4:10's your op speed will be the exact same.

thanks so ur saying itll be the same speed, than why does everyone say my max speed will be less with gears?????

I don't think Cobras have a speed limiter except for the 03s. The reason 03s have a limiter is because there is no rear wing to create down force which at >150 is dangerous.
As to which gear will have the highest top speed? I don't think it really matters too much. Mathamtically the lower (numerically) the ratio, the faster you "can" go. The problem is that the faster you go the more power it takes to push through the air. Having a numerically higher ratio allows you to get higher in the rpm range where there is more power, but you have to spin the motor faster to go the same speed. It is a toss up.
To really go faster you need to reduce drag and increase power.

your max possible speed will be less, but you need a lot of power to redline 5th gear. depending on your mods, gears can actually increase your top speed
