Do you guys think I can beat a stock SS with this power in my car, 340 hp at the wheels, and if I can, what modifications can a SS have to kick my ass!!

If the SS is stock, I say you will work him over.

Have been wrong before though [Razz]

Get him off the line, hope you have tires that will help you launch, I raced a SS the other day in my 90 and got him off the line and after that he got me by about 3/4 of a car... yes the 90 has mods

340RW in a typical foxbody will run 115mph in the 1/4.
To get an LS1 to do that they typically need headers, cut-out, cam & lid.
With these mods most put down 360-380RW....but there are the few that put down 400+....it really depends on the parts used.

Your real advantage is gearing. LS1 M6's have a 2.66 first gear & shitty rear-end gears. This means that 1st gear on those things is held till over 50mph. Which means they are a PITA to launch. It's either bog or spin, not much in between. On a freeway roll it's another matter however. A much slower LS1 can keep up with a faster mustang. A4's are another matter. Off the line their an animal, but from a freeway roll a much slower mustang can keep up.

If it's an M6, race 'em from a stop with some sticky tires & don't look back! If it's an A4....go from a roll in your 2nd gears 'sweet spot'.

Holy shit, I didn't know that the SS camaros could make so much hp with so few modifications. [Eek!]

Stock SS's do 320rwhp??

I didn't know that...I thought they were in the 300-305rwhp range...I've witnessed a bunch of dynos and most of them were in the 300 range, but never saw one at 320rwhp (without mods anyway).

Like stated before you should walk all over him, if you can row your gears well. Most ls1 can put down some good dyno numbers but for some reason when they hit the track up they dont E.T for shit! Id rather put down 386 rwhp and run 119, then put down 440 [Roll Eyes] and run 116!!

Well, I hope I dont run into a modified SS then, and I should start thinking about geting myself a COBRA, otherwise I will be spending all this money and only getting few hp.

does an aftermarket lid and acutout considered stock?the 98-00 range from 290-310 stock, the 01-02 range from 315 -325 stock.
