Shit my power windows just went out. I was driving on the freeway and caput they would not go up or down. Or power door locks. Checked the relay that went to the starter solinoid. It was like a million degrees. Had voltage on one side but not the other. Checked all fuses and they were ok. While i was on the freeway all my car power went out for one second and then right back on. Then the windows didnt work anymore.

Thanks for any help E

sounds like you blew a fuse/fusable link

look in the engine compartment as well as inder the dash and find the fuse boxes and correct the problem.

have you done any wiring recently? it sounds like you have a short circuit somewhere. check out any wiring coming through the firewall for damage/burning/blackened, etc.
if you don't find the cause, it will probably go again.

good luck!

Checked all fuses. they were fine. The relay that is on the starter solinoid for the windows was like a million degrees!

well my power door locks still work with the alarm so i dont belive that is the wiring culprit. If you take out one power door lock button they dont work but put it back in and the alarm can make my car lock. No luck on the power windows yet. Any way to manually put them up? This is driving me crazy.
