I am replacing the starter on my 90 Lx, and i cant get to the top bolt to get the starter off. Anyone have any tips to get this off. I have been tryin all morning,thanks.

Yeah, use a 6" extension and a 3" extension. Put em toghether with your ratchet and 5/8 (i think) and you can do it in three minutes. I'd make sure it a 12 point too, that'll make it easier. Let me know how that works out for ya. [patriot]

can you get a breaker bar in there for some more torsion?

With the car jacked up, go through the hole in the engine K frame, directly between the lower control arm and the frame rail. Use a METRIC socket (13mm) and a 1/4" drive socket and ratchet w/ a 2" extension. It'll work just fine. [Big Grin]

I've always used a very long 3/8" extention..... 2-3 feet long, and snaked it through the headers and losen the starter bolts in the free and clear area near the swaybar.
