Just as i'm driving away from Infineon from watching some really bad ass cars...this light goes on and so i pull over and check the cap...it's on but i noticed that the little metal flap (sorry i don't know the proper term for it) is stuck wide open...if i'm not mistaken it should shut after filing w/ gas right???
This ever happen to anyone...well i'm taking it to the dealer since it's still under warranty but is there any side effect...i'm sure the check engine light might come on but who cares the can always reset that...thanks

No it will not cause any harm. The flap/restrictor would not cause this light to come on. It would be due the fuel cap not being installed correctly or not tight. It can also be a leak in the fuel evap system some where else purge canister ect. Most common is the fuel cap not being tight.
