I own a 98 GT and am installing a tach in it. I am wondering where to connect the wires from it to. Can they go to the harnesses for the instrument cluster? Also, there is a green wire and the directions say that it needs to go to the tach terminal for electronic ignition cars. Where the hell is the tach terminal? Any help would be good.

You might need the tach adapter. Does it have a distributor or is the ignition electronic? If its electronic, youll definetly need the adapter. I know the 02 mustangs have to have it. Might want to look into that. Maybe try calling autometer. [patriot]

I am pretty sure it has an electronic ignition, the maker is AutoGuage. There is no distributor and it has double coil packs. Anybody know for sure.

Yes, you need the adapter. Check the autometer site. I dont know if this link will work, but you can try. Its called a "magneto signal converter."

Dustin's right, you will need the tach adapter before you can do the install.

Hows your car been Dustin? Haven't talked to you in a while. Did you ever fgure out why you kept blowing head gaskets(Was it the heads?)

Just curious did you ever get that video back from the cops that you shot of us street racing back in October?

It was a combo of things. No tune and warped heads are the main ones. That'll do it everytime. [Frown]
