wondering if anyone has ever gotten their Vortech s/c rebuilt, whether directly from Vortech or from a local shop. I think I am going to get my V1 rebuilt soon, but I don't know if I really need to. It makes a "bad-bearing" sound, but I don't know if that is what the V1 REALLY soounds like. Does anyone know if Vortech sells a rebuild kit? Thanks...

well, i thought i sounded alright...but everyone is saying taht there is an odd rattling sound. It just basically sounds like a fucked up bearing ready to seize....i don't know if its bad though, because from what i heard, v1's are really "annoying" in sound.

1. you stole my avator.
2. V1's are loud anyways.
3. Vortech has to service them.
4. Check for oil in your intake.

V1's have a rock-crushing, grinding, whistle sound. If that's what yours sounds like, then it's normal.

My Novi 2000 had bad bearings, and some of the metal got stuck in my oil pump. Be careful.
Paxton Rebuilt mine, and warrentied it for a year. It was 349. for the rebuild.
