Ok what do I ned to set my tps as in meter, and what setting to put it on. I think its all the same but if its not I have an 88 and have already made the set screw holes bigger to allow for more adjusing. thanks

you need a digital voltmeter. and something you can probe the green and black wires with (i use sowing needles the real skinny ones). make sure you have the key to the on position(but not running) and have no accesories on when you are doing it. The "ideal" voltage is .98V, but anywhere below and close to that voltage is fine.

I agree... I use very thin sewing needles to puncture the green and black insulation coming off of the tps itself. Then I take a wire, coil it around the needle that I just used to puncture the insulation. Next, I coil the other end of the wire to the digital voltmeter probs, and measure...
Remember, black is negative, green is positive in this case.

In case you didn't catch it. Don't set it over .99 A setting of 1.0 or above can cause idle and driveability problems.
