Well, I obviously need a new clutch [Wink]

What else do I need to buy/do/have done?

I see alot of people resurface the flywheel. You just take it to a shop for that right?

I'm planning on getting the spec stage 2. I have the stock one now (I assume...it has 90k miles on it if its the original one [Eek!] )

I just got my clutch done last month. yeah they will reserface your flywheel. A lot of people take the oportunity to get a new clutch cable and quadrant and even firewall adjuster, yet those things can be installed at any time. I myself have opted to wait until my clutch cable and/or quadrant break before replacing as I have very little money but big expensive dreams.

I hear that depending on what kind of cluth you are putting in you should get an upgraded clutch cable and quadrant I just went with the kind cobra so I'm not in bad need of them.

while everything is out, I like to change the pilot bearing, rear main seal. Also resurface the flywheel. Your clutch kit should come with a new pressure plate and throw out bearing.

I highly recommend replacing the pilot bearing and rear main seal....

You should just rent the pilot bearing "puller" tool...Someone said, "there is a tool for every job"...I've spent more time on removing pilot bearings in the past than I care to..It costs like $5. to rent it and you can rent one from any parts store like Kragen or Pep boys...I recommend the threaded stud type that requires you only to tighten the nuts to press out the pilot bearing...I never had good luck with the slide hammer tool..

As far as the rear main seal goes, I always just carefully dig the old one out with a screwdriver...Then you want to find something the same diameter as the rear main seal so you can gently tap the seal in with out it popping out on the opposite side to where you tapping it...

Dont forget 2.75-3.00 quarts of DexIII transmission fliud, for the T5....

Good luck! [patriot]
