with the flow numbers jeffs said these heads would be just a tad better that twisted wedges or afr165's box stock, which would be perfect for what i am tryin to do

If you want a tad better than the TW's or 165's, why not get the high ports or 185's?

becuase it would be different, how many people have ported edelbrock heads, and edelbrock intake that says 5.0 on it, and a decent cam with queit exhaust, on a 351w, i will be able to suprise a few people, plus the heads are 850 shipped to me, if u could find me some afr's for that much then i would jump on um

also did u just say afr 185's are better than twisted wedges i had to
i am not doin anything radical her, i am going with an x cam atmost and pedestal rockers, its gonna be a real weak nuts combo but i am ok with that for now, eventually it will get redone but tjat is in the future

A guy on the corral that goes by StreetpowerEFI331 did a ton of dyno tests on his car. He had some ported Edelbrocks flowed 270-280 CFM and then switched to box stock 185's and gained 20 RWHP and like 20 ft lbs. He tested different intakes, exhaust, aluminum flywheels, and an Ed cam too. He was on a mission for a while, haven't heard much from him recently but you can do a search for his name and get the details.

I've got some 6037s for sale, ported by Powerheads in So Cal that have never been used if you want to get some for cheaper than brand new. $450 port job done, I have receipt, they just said performance porting work done. Last time I called they just said call anytime and ask exactly what was done, they do the same to all these heads, but they are very nice and knowledgeable. Let me know
