Is it a BAD idea to run a fuel pump without the screen filter on the bottom of the pump, whats hte worse that can happen?

its there for a reason, you don'y want anything getting up in your system.

Would the fuel filter catch anything...

The pump itself has a metal screen if you look at it. The rectangular filter keeps this screen clean, and also prevents debris from locking up the fuel pump or gunking it up and reducing flow.

The screen on the pump keeps debris from trashing the pump. The smaller stuff is caught in the filter.

Well for now i am running my fuel pump without this filter. Had to get this pump in before Thursday, Bill at APEX SQUEEEEEZED me in to finish up my chip and tune for my N20 setup, other wise i would have had to wait until the end of next month to get a tune and my setup complete.
