The 3.73 gears in the car I just bought were installed in 1997, with no speedo. What is the ratio of how many miles are added to the car? Right now the mileage is at 102,000 on the dot, and when the gears were installed it was roughly at 30,000 miles.

Any estimate of what the actual mileage is on my car?

I just did the math...

So for every 33 miles you drove, your odometer counted 40 miles assuming you have 26" tall tires and had 3.08:1 gears before. You traveled 72,000 miles like this so 72K * (33/40) = 59,400 + the original 30,000 = 89,400 miles total [patriot]

You are the man! I didn't even think about this until AFTER I bought the car, so this is just like an added bonus!
