its not steeda's fault, a lot of people have that problem with 23 tooth speedo gears. thats why the most ford makes is 21

Tear down your tranny for what? That plastic shit can not mess it up. All 23 tooth speedo gears do that over time. I have gone through like 4 of them in the last 4 years so just get another one and run it.

Haha, for sure! Those tiny pieces of plastic will have 0 affect on your tanny that you will notice. Shit, 3rd gear can break and bounce around in there for a while, then come to rest/get grounded up, and you wont notice that either, (excetp for shifting from 2nd to 4th [Razz] )

If you wanted to fix the problem all you have to do is change the internal speedo gear on output shaft of the transmission....

I used to go through the white speedo gears all the time [Roll Eyes] ...Now I have a black speedo gear and yellow output shaft speedo gear, with 3.55 rear axle gears...Its pretty much perfect, I've checked it with mile markers on the freeway [Smile]
