i was wondering if any body knows if 2001 LS1 injetors (26 lbs) would work in a 5.0 or 4.6. i would like to sell my stock ones on the board but first want to know if people here has performed this swap. i myself am using SVO #30 injectors in my camaro with no problems so i dont know why it wouldn't work the other way? thanks

Im pretty sure that injectors have universal dimensions since about the mid 80's. Except for maybe some german cars and what not

what about the mas?

They have the same dimensions but I'm sure would need recalibration. Dont hold me to that since Im not sure.

from what ive been told you can use them with a mass air calibrated for 24 lb injectors.. youll just run a little rich..dyno tune can fix that problem...

LS1 injectors are rated at 4 BAR (58 psi) so they're actually 22 lbs injectors when ran in a 3 bar (43.5psi) Ford. 22 lbs injectors.... kind of a useless upgrade from the stock 19 lbs injectors. If you run the stock 19 lbs injectors at 55 psi, you'll have effectively "22 lbs" injectors.

I'm not even going to bring up the special MAF calibration or EEC tune required [patriot]

what is a 5.0 and 4.6 fuel rail presure set at stock. i know the ls1 motors rails are set higher than the ford motors but by how much? how much would that then affect the injector output? thank for all the freindly advice! [Big Grin]

Most ford guys are gonna stay with Ford parts, just so there's no confusion on trying to figure out what psi and other equations just to run the LS1 injector....

Basically its not worth putting LS1 injectors on a Ford because the Fords already have enough injector ratios to choose from...

If your curious, put the injectors on your dads car and see how they work....You never know you might get some more rwhp out of it.. [Wink] [Big Grin] [patriot]
