buddy bought one and wondering if 373 or 410 better way to go. They come with 3.27s and wondering if anyone knows the gearing on the tranny cause i got a calculator could see rpms at what speed.

so the 5 speed no matter what came with 355?? Ford says 3.27. well then 3.55 to 3.73 is a waste 4.10 is the way to go. So all of them come with 3.55. Anyone have the gearing?

The car has the TR-3650 tranny in it. With 4.10s your looking at just about 3k at 80mph. I rough estimate is you will run 600rpm higher then it does with with 3.27s.

i have a 98 gt 5 speed, and i was always wondering what gear ratio i have, the previous owner said he got factory upgraded gears when he purchased the car

dam we need to find out about the 327 or 355 gearing. if it does have 355 its a waste i think to go to 373

C'mon you guys gotta be kiddin ....The stock gear ratio on a 99+ 4.6 GT is 3.27!!...end of story..

The `03 Cobra and Mach 1 are the only 5 Speed Mustangs availible with 3.55's

I know a few guys with 99+ and 2 of them have 3.73's and both said it was a total waste. On the other hand, the many people I've seen with 99+ gt's seem to love the 4.10's.

4.10's for sure IMO!

if it's a GT, it doesn't have 3.55 gears, it has 3.27. However, the Cobra's have the 3.55 gears. I have a 2002, with 3.73's in it, and I am going up to 4.10's next week.

My car's an 01. You will need to get a dallas mustang speed Cal. It's easy to install. Also the rpm difference between 3.73s and 4.10s is 300rpm. If the car is staying NA then I would go with 4.10s. If its going to have a power adder then I would go with less gear.

but go with the 4.10s on the freeway u will run off on alot cars till around 125mph which is coo because it kinda limits u
why go faster than that?

95 Gt's depend on what tranny you have if it is an Auto I believe they have 3.08's if its the 5 speed then they have 2.73's .

yah hes goin with headers, full exhaust, heads and a few other things no blower or n20. 125 is fine for him

With 410s 1st maxs at 35mph, 2nd 56mph, 3rd 85 mph and 4th at 112. Does that sound about right. thats at 6000 rpms. Also does 5th have pull at all

That sounds about right, and yeah 5th has pull. W/ stock gears, 5th is only good for cruising. If you want to pass someone, you have to downshift. With 3.73, or 4.10's you can pass.

Who drives 65 2300 sounds about right. Low 12s on the bottle should be do able. I'm working on it

ok thanks so 70 about 2400 then??

im sure 75 shot, heads, 410s, slicks, cold air intake, headers, x pipe no cats, spintech mufflers, custom chip,tb if they make one should run 12s
