Has anybody changed the oil pan gaskets on a 95 GT before? In your garage? Is it a pain in the ass? Did you have to lift the motor? How long did it take? Any advice?
All replies greatly appreciated

yes I have and its a pain in the ass
you do have to lift the motor up as high as possible so it will give you room to put in the new gasket

It's on my short list of my least favorite things to do. PITA is an understatement. Honestly if I had to do it again I'd probably pull the motor completely.

I had to replace the pan gasket in my car yesturday. IT SUCKS!!!! Make sure you use a one piece rubber oil pan gasket, and to make things a little easier, install a set of oil pan studs (if they arent already there)....makes things a little easier.

I did it on my 91 fox and it took me about 6 hours. Make sure to get a one piece rubber one with brass rings where the bolts go through.
Your going to have to disconnect the motor mounts and jack the motor up as high as possible.
