CONFUSED GOT A 99 COBRA X PIPE WITH FLOWS WITH MIL ELIMINATORS EVERYTHING WAS FINE FOR ABOUT FOUR THOUSAND MILES THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON. i KNOW NOTHING IS WEONG WITH MY CAR CAUSE I WOULD REALIZE IT. hAS TO BE THE X PIPE. I THOUGHT THE MILS WERE SUPPOSE TO ELIMINATE THIS PROBLEM. aSKED FORD TECHNICIAN SAID MAYBE UNPLUG THE ELIMINATORS WHILE CAR IS OFF OR DISCONNECT NEGATIVE PART OF BATTERY FOR 24 HOURS SO BATTERY CAN RESET. i'M CONFUSED HELP HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THEIR STANGS?

There's a good possibility that your problem is your MIL eliminators, however don't rule out other problems. There are many other things that could trigger your check engine light that you would not be able to notice and may not effect the way the car drives.
Only way to know for sure is to have your codes pulled.
