I HAVE 3.73'S IN MINE AND I LOVE THEM.. WHAT KIND OF POWER DO YOU HAVE?? A FRIEND OF MINE HAS 4.10'S IN HIS BLOWN 5.O AND SMOKES 'EM WITH SLICKS ON [Eek!] ALL DEPENDS ON THE POWER YOU HAVE.

automatic is a must for 4:10's
manual 5spd- 3:73 daily driven
4:10 if you go to the track every weekend

i go 4:10s [worship]

go here, it will calculate all ur gear questions
i would go with 3.73, 4.10s are way to much gear for a 5.0 with some performance mods not running slicks-if u dont plan on running slicks 4.10's will make u slower because of wheel spin [burnout]

I love my 3.55's.. [patriot] ...I have traction problems now, I cant even imagine 4.10's!..

The more torque/power your engine has the lower the gear you will need for traction...

What mods do you have?....It would be better to choose a gear suited for your "power-band"..

.....Basically- 3.73's will be better on gas and have a higher top speed than 4.10's...

*MY VOTE: Between 3.73's & 4.10's I would go with 3.73's...(Assuming you have a T5 manual trans) [patriot]

only true if you can't drive. At the hook/bog threshold 4.10s will give the driver an advantage with slicks as well. Give a good driver 4.10s and street tires on a stock motor and he'll pull away from the same car with 3.73s

IMHO the easy answer is 4.10s unless you run a power adder, then 3.73s [Whoo Whooooo!]

Look at my sig, I get 17 MPG with those 4.10's. If you don't get them you're a jackass [Whoo Whooooo!]
