I just put in some Autolites in my car the other day to give her a little tune up and now I am running like I have a fat cam!!! I am at 9.5:1 compression with around 15 degrees timing and she is running like a champ except for the cammy idle. It didn't use to do this but I think I know why. I didn't gap the plugs when I put them in and the plugs I took out were gapped more than these new ones. I don't know why i didn't check earlier but Oh well. Anyway, my Question is for everyone is WHAT GAP SHOULD I BE RUNNING?? I have performer heads if that makes a difference. I just need to know what gap to run and everything should be cosher [Smile] . I need a MSD pro billet distributor if anyone has one too by the way!! [Wink] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Edit: My dimb ass threw the old plugs in a place I cannot find and hence the reason I ask this question!

i have gt40 irons and a true gt40 intake
running the plugs at .44 and fuel pressure at 40-42psi..it runs like a pony car should run.

.44-.54 either way the car will run good .44 if you drive it everywhere. [Wink]

.37-.42 gives ya room to wear on

Just to let everyone know, .52-.54 works best with stock fuel PSI settings. I just tested out different gaps from .40 all the way up to .54. And the latter is MUCH better running.

At .44 or anything lower than .48 you are gonna get some nice backfires at high rpm letoff AND your idle is gonna be a little rough. UNLESS your fuel PSI is higer than stock (Say 43+) keep the gap at .52-.54... You won't be dissapointed.
