Ok, I recently had the following put in:
tfs tw heads, track heat intake, stage 1 cam, 65mm accufab tb, 75mm pro-m maf, 30lbs, full exhaust. It has the stock block.

What is happening is that the RPMS don't like to really drop unless I leave it in second and it tends to rev itself a bit between shifts and once in a while it randomly revs when i'm crusing to a stop.

ANy ideas? IS this common or just tune issues? I hope its simple! [Smile]

Sounds like throttlebody/sensor problems??? I had my throttle position switch go bad and it really messed up the idle and everything.

What's your TPS voltage at? Is the sensor okay? What about your 10 pin connectors?

i tcould be something as simple as a worn out throttle cable, or possibly a vacuum leak...
tps is a possibility

To be honest I dont know. I know very little about cars. Is something I can test myself without buying tons of parts?

Thanks

www.fordmuscle.com has a story on how to clean the 10 pin connectors, its easy.

The TPS sensor... if you really don't want to use any brain power, go to the parts store and buy one for $17. If your problem is still there, go return it [Smile]

If you don't have a volt meter to make sure the sensor reads under 1 volt at idle, then its really a blind shot in the dark.

What about the IAC (Idle Air Control)? Would that be a possibility?
