You can run any coolant you want to in you Stang..Its best to stay with a 50/50 mix, (50% coolant & 50% water)..There are different brand that are all about the same..There is a red color coolant, (Dexcool) which is silicon based...The red coolant (Dexcool) is often used on the newer GM cars...I would use the generic green color coolant on your car unless it says otherwise in your owners manual..
There is also a product from "Redline Oils" called "Water Wetter" that helps lower your water temp.."Water Wetter" works great, it works with coolant and with out it...

If you can, or are able to, use Distelled (sp?) water instead of normal drinking water. Better for the car and cooling. [Smile]

The less anti-freeze you use the better.
Use just enough to prevent the water from freezing in your area. I run ~20/80 mix, mostly water.
Helps keep hotspots out of the heads & deture detonation.

The more H20 vs. coolant you run the greater rust/scale buildup as well.

I have a ~120k mile radiator so I don't really give a crap though, but use enough coolant with enough rust-inhibtors to prevent premature radiator failure.

Redline water wetter is a good rust inhibitor/waterpump lubricant.
