I'm going to be lowering my car either 1.5" or 2" and I want to know how necessary caster cambers are for both. I'm worried about tire wear more than anything. Help me out if possible, I'm sure a lot of you guys have lowered cars...thanks...Joe

When you lower your car the camber becomes negative(the inside of your tires wears quicker than the outside)...You can correct that with just an alignment...It really depends on how low you go...1.5" drop should be OK, but you might be maxing out the alignment slots of the stock caster camber plates with a 2." drop...
I would recommend getting some caster camber plates anyway, especially if your gonna lower you car..I lowered my car with H&R's and with Eibach's, both with 1.5+" drop with stock caster camber plates and the car was fine....I picked up some Steeda CC plates(for free)and the car feels a lot smoother due to the added caster in the alignment...

Yes you will need Caster Camber Plates. They can't hurt you they can only help you. The best are Maximum Motorsports, Steeda's are pretty good but not quite as adjustable as the MM one's. I've also seen Hotchkis one's but do not really know all that much about them. I'd say get the MM one's

Definetly get some CC plates if you can, it gives way more ajustment than stock and you can have your tires aligned properly! Doesnt matter who you go with as long as there is enough ajustment for your car!

Well this post explains why my left front tire wore out quicker on the inside.
Can anyone tell me just how hard installation of cc plates will be? and if it's hard how much i should expect to pay for labor. Any help would be appreciated.

Very simple to install yourself, after you install them go get a re-alignment and you'll be all set.

We carry and install the Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates. They're the strongest ones out there (4-bolt!) and allow the finest adjustments. Caster and camber are individually adjustable, so you can really dial in a precise alignment. They also use a spherical bearing at the upper strut mount, which ensures that you keep the precise alignment during hard cornering. Other brands that use rubber or urethane upper mounts allow the top of the strut to move around under cornering, which kind of defeats the purpose of dialing in a precise alignment in the first place!

They're $199 for black powdercoat and $249 for chrome.
I don't sell Eibach springs because of poor ride and handling characteristics compared to the complete package that we sell.
