im purchasing a 5 speed conversion kit, and i was wondering if there's a shop that can do this swap for me.. i know its going to be pricey, for instance, apex in santa clara gave me a quote around $1K just for the labor...$100/hr... if you know of someone who is really good at this swap stuff, or a professional shop that doesnt charge an arm and a leg..please let me know.. thanks everyone for your help!

if i were you i would invest the money for the labor it would cost someone to do the conv. and buy tools and do it in my garage.

Call Mostly Mustangs in Oakland at 510-893-2113. We do 5 speed swaps two or three times a year. It is a labor intensive job, the amount of parts necessary and the subsequent labor adds up very quickly. If you are handy with tools, try it yourself and save money, yet gain aggravation.
