i found a clean 89 notchback 4cy new paint for 1,000$ what kind of work or cost would it take to drop a 5.0,tranny,rearend in it and what else would be needed?

i dont think it's worth it, you can get a high mileage 5.0 foxbody for under 2k now

Wiring harness, motor and tranny mounts, CPU, crossmember, coil over for the back unless you want to drill a stud for the quad shocks, and new front brakes/shocks unless this is a dragster you are building... I am sure if I missed anything that someone will post the rest of what you need

your funeral. you can find a four-bang-stang for like $200 if your just looking for a roller.
