http://www.dallasmustang.com/speedcal_instructions.htm

and the speedcal didnt work.. instead my milage looks lik "-------" and i get a beautiful cel light, and a car that shuts off while braking going down hill... I double checked the installation and everything was wired as the instructions said... did i get a bad unit?

I guess you will have to switch it back to normal setup to know if there is something wrong with the speedcal. I just put mine in last weekend w/o problems.
This is not much help but....
Good luck

Make sure All your crimped connections are all the way thru the insulation. I had a problem where I was getting no MPH reading and it was a bad crimp.

the crimp they sent was a pos, so i just spliced into the wire, and used electrical tape.
