can anyone point out a good place to read or help me with instructions on replacing the ring and pinion in my 87 5.0....i bought the 3.73 ring and pinion...i just need to know what else to buy...c clips? new axle bearing...diferential fluid...i need some help here....paying 575 for someone to do it for me just seems stupid....i rather try it on my own first if it is not to difficult...Mike

Uh...Rearend Specialties did my 4.10s for about $200. I don't know where you got $575 from.

Rearend Specialties guarantees their labor. They guarantee their parts too if you buy them there. But if you bring in your own ring and pinion, they, of course, won't guarantee that.

GNJ motorsports will do it for the same price as rear end specialties and you get million mile warranty as long as the part doesn't break while racing. The best part about it is you can call them one day and bring it in the next unlike rear end specialties. Go to GNJ motorsports in Milpitas. It's right by the Great Mall.
