well I have finished doing my motor and tranny install
I put in a 5 sp in place of my auto

The car will turn over and would start right up at 1st then 30 seconds later it would just DIE

know it wont start unless I floor it but if I let off the gas it die's

im thinking it could be my MAF

do you guys have any Idea on why the car wont stay on

Pulling the codes from the EEC is a good start.

Do you have a major vacuum leak?

What parts of the motor have you played with recently? [Big Grin] This is where I always start [Big Grin]

well all of them i pulled my old blown motor out
put some ported e7 heads on a 86 motor

with a gt40 upper and lowe, 30#injectors and a 75mm MAF

im think maybe i gots a huge intake leak or my MAF is bad

Just curious why you have such large injectors? Is your MAF calibrated for them also?

88gt, it is because he is running 17 psi of boost, even if he is rich, the extra fuel will just cool the combustion chamber a little, even though he has an intercooler, 17psi is one hell of a lot of boost

are u asking about the 50# in my 99gt or the 30's on my 89 coupe
well in y 99gt its couse I plan on makeing 600rwhp when im done
on my I have larger ones couse Im runing a 125 dry shot

hey thanks guy here is what I found
my timing was of, number 4 plug was not
plug in all the way , and I had a small intake leak

but I fixed every thing on it and it idles fine now

it sounds like I put a cam in it but all i did was take the short block out of a 86gt and put some ported e7 heads with 1.7 rr gt40 intake
some bbd shoties and some 2chamber with dumps

well off to the track I go tomorrow see what I can pull out of my comuter [Big Grin]

I was asking about the 30# injectors...I didn't know you were running nitrous. Congrats on getting the coupe running strong again!
