You got it backward, first number is compression and second is extension (rebound) in percentage of force required.

90/10s lift the front end very easily but let it down slowly, car handles like crap. but transfers weight better which gives you better traction.
90/10=good for drag racing, bad for road racing.
70/30 half asses both
50/50 doesn't transfer weight well at all but the car handles better
