when should i change the plugs? i have 48,000 miles on the origionals.

Change 'em. I do mine once a year but that is not necessary trust me. 30,000 miles per set is a good round number.

Sounds good..Dont forget to put antiseize on the new plugs, so its easier to take them out later. [Big Grin]

Yes, the regular cheapy Autolite's are great plugs. Kragens has a rebate offer going on right now where you can get them for free after rebate [Smile]

I would try Denso's "iridium plugs"....I heard they were good for at least 5 rwhp on the 4.6's...If they are too expensive,around $75 for 8, Autolite's are just as good as stock,$.99 each, platinum $1.89each...

Get the NGKs. I think there TR55s, their the copper ones. You will have to replace them every 20-25k. I paid $1.35 each.

Change close to around 30k is good. NGK's and Autolites work just fine. Just double check the gap though. [burnout]
