I am planning on going with BBK equal length shortie headers to BBK cated h pipe, to 2 chamber flos. I was just wondering how this sounds to other people or if there is something better, but still able to pass smog?

In CA you have to have 4 cats since the car came that way from Ford. A lot of places will let you by w/ the two cat pipe (if they even bother to look.)

Ya, i know that i have to have 4 cats, which sucks but ill deal with it, but im pretty sure that this is a good legal set up. I was just wondering if there was something better.

Atleast ya dont have 6 cats to worry about... Thanx FORD!

i have the same setup except with single chamber flows and i passed with the papers to prove it [Smile]

I have a 98, they came with 6 cats, but for now i have a BBK offroad H, and my stock pipes are in the shed, waiting for smog time, so they shouldnt go bad if not being used. RIIIIGHT!?! [Big Grin]

Gotcha. Didnt kow they came with 6. Most of my knowledge is about the 60's stangs.

93 - I have a stock h pipe out of my 93 for $40.

Otherwise use the setup that you are thinking but I would, and currently have, 1 chamber flows.

cali rules do suck, but your car WILL pass smog with O/R pipe on it

I would personally go with bbk L/T headers shorties are fine but if youre gonna do the install you might as well get the long tubes, with just about any well named H pipe go O/R forget the cats just make sure your stock pipes are in the garage waiting for smog day and to match it all off throw on some Borla XR1s for the sound =)
