Is there any way to manually get this off without taking it to a body shop? Its the pin striping (in my case, white) that runs front to back like above the door handles in that area. Someone told me with a heat gun it might come off, but i just dont know?? Any suggestions?

thnx..

**note, i just tried slightly running the edge of a razor blade along it (someone posted that worked a while back) but all that did was take off paint along with the striping [Mad] . its like the shits painted on there [Confused]

if you take it ohh yourself it will be obvious, it will look worse than it does now so just leave it. [patriot]

i took mine off, using a razor, and a screw driver, basiclly scratched up the pin stripe paint, ahen used some wd40 on a rag, and used some elbow grease, there is alittle bit of scratches, but you can tell only if your up close to the car, i think mine looks better with out it.

if u use a heat gun lightly on your car it will come up easy, just dont hold the gun on one spot too long or the paint will melt

due scott just ask Vincenzi, the guy owns a body shop, he'll tell you how to do it and possibly do it for you

There is a special tool you can use but, all it is,is a couple of thin foam discs on a "Dremel". I used it on my '94, it worked great!!....(caution)---If your paint is faded you'll see where the original pine stripe was...You can buy the discs at any automotive paint store.
