If you want to go a cheaper route, you could try the SVO front brakes. It's what they put on the fox-body saleens back in the day. Only negative thing about them is you can only run certian wheels, as the hub gets in the way. Unless you run a small spacer, then you won't have any problems. I just happen to have the SVO stuff lying around, shoot me an email if you are interested;)

if you wanted even cheaper way, use ranger axles , the bolt patterns are exactlty the same, know some guy that have used them and they hold up, really cost effective

There are a couple ways of converting to 5-lug:
1) Lincoln LSC front rotors, which are a direct replacement rotor on the Mustang, along with the FMS 5-lug axles with 5-lug drums. This option is obviously done with low cost in mind, as your braking won't be any better than stock.
2) Baer 12" or 13" front rotors/PBR twin-piston calipers and 12" rear rotors, all in 5-lug. This option will produce dramatically better stopping distances but is understandably more expensive.

Basically, it comes down to how much you want to spend and what you want the final outcome to be: better selection of wheels, and/or better overall braking.
Also, if you're going to a 17"x9" Cobra R wheel, as your avitar would suggest, you'll have to do some serious fender rolling on your '89, as the wheel wells were only designed for puny 15"x7" wheels.

d&d makes a kit too. but its not cheap, and far ftom stock breaks [Wink]
