i just got some pony rims for my 90 5.0. i have some 225/50-16'a for it, i know the stock size is 225/55 will the 225/50's affect my speedo alot?

Barely at all bro. You will notice almost ZERO difference in speed unless you are one of the special few that own Mustangs who can feel 1 or 2hp gains when you put in a K&N.
