im doing a kustom dash for my 86 GT. I dont think im gonna be installing a speedometer. Is it really that necessary?

are you not gonna videotape stupid stunts down the highway and go damn we just hit 150 dude, alright!?

-its always kinda fun just to weave in and out of cars and know how fast you were doin it at, or make runs down the highway and also still know how fast you made it...i guess that just the immature side of me

I don't know if the state vehicle code requires it or not. If you have a NAV system with GPS, you can probably get a speed display out of that. Not having a working odometer might create problems at resell time.

Its nice to know ya, but my car cant go past 85 for some reason ?!?!?! I wonder if a cop would by that "You know how fast your going son?", "Why yes officer, musta been 85 cause thats where my speedo stops!

Damn v8 cars with an 85Mph speedo

if i were to put one in my kustom dash, it would not be the stock 85 mph speedomter. (i really didnt think i would have had to spell that one out.) and as far it being illegal, how would i ever get caught?
