how hard is it to change an automatic tranny to a manuel tranny? About how much will it cost?

Its not that hard. The hardest part is gathering all the small parts for the swap. After doing so, I wish I invested the conversion money into a built AOD instead.

I take that back then.....

Stick shifts are ideal for high 11 second and slower cars. An automatic will probably cost you .2 seconds. Once you get well into the 11's and faster, the automatic really begins to shine through. Lets not forget that the vast majority of us aren't manual tranny shifting experts
