Hey everyone I was just wondering if anyone has ever had the problem I am having, when I'm driving
at cruising speeds it feels like my car is jerking or surging? It's a weird feeling like maybe the fuel is geting cut of or something? I have no Idea what it could be, can anyone offer any suggestions??? Thanks!

First do a full complete tune up including the fuel filter, then let us know if that helped. [patriot]

Definitely do the tuneup first. I would first look at the plug wires first...

Tune up is a good place to start but if it is jerking under low load (slight throttle movement) it is probably the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Good luck [Smile]

how does it run at WOT?
the computer uses all the sensors to control mixture at part throttle, only the mass air readings at WOT, this can help to isolate your problem.

good luck!

I would also try to run some injector cleaner through it.

THANKS FOR ALL OF THE FEEDBACK, IT'S A BRANDNEW SHORTBLOCK, SO THE PLUGS, CAP, ROTOR IS ALL NEW THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T CHANGE WAS THE PLUG WIRES. I AM RUNNING AN E CAM ALSO. THE CAR ACTS FINE AT FULL THROTTLE, BUT ALSO MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENLY? I'M NEW TO THE FIVEO SCENE SO ANY THING HELPS, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

Pull the codes from the computer and see what it's complaining about. If it runs fine at WOT, chances are the spark plug wires are fine. You have a good MAF that is matched to your injector size correct?

It sounds like to me you have a B-cam installed.. Mine is a bucking bitch sometimes and it is only around 2000rpms... That I have this Prob... My check engine light flashes on and off to but I think it is due to my leaky exhaust...

If it is at low RPM's only I would suggest the cam as being the problem. Good luck.

How did the b cam work out for you considering you have the stock stall?

It killes the low end torque some... But you gain it back in th high end.. My best 60ft is 2.16 and that was on street tires.. It really does need a stall to be a very efective cam.. I'm living proof!! Oh well my 5 speed is in the mail!!!! [dance] [dance] [Big Grin]

I would check the plug wires I was having similar problems. One of plug wires fell on the header and damn near burnt in two. [Eek!]

I know what the problem is.

I just had this EXACT same thing happen to my car. Crappy cuising great at WOT. After having my nieghbor bring home his Snap On code scanner we found out that one of my o2 sensors wasn't getting any type of good reading, and the other was not responding at all.

I replaced them and everything is perfictly normal again. Don't beat around the bush, replace them.

BTW, the ones that I had go bad where not that old, but still were defective.
