Well I have had my headers on my car maybe 4 months now and just went through my 3rd set of gaskets. I don't know wtf, but it's getting really annoying changing the damn thing every month and 1/2.
Any reccomendations on a gasket that is going to last a while. If so post 'em.
BBK shorties mounted to stock heads.
Thanks for the info and opinions in advance!!!

I haven't had any problems with any of my gaskets. One set was just the cheapo NAPA ones, now I have Fel-pro. Are you retorquing the bolts down after about 50 miles?

As long as the header flange is flat (i.e. no "sealing rings" around the ports), you can use the Bassani gaskets that we carry. These are by far the best gaskets we've ever used! Stainless steel with graphite inserts, and $47 for the pair. The gaskets can be reused if you remove the headers; you simply replace the inserts for $16. We've never had one set blow out.
I'd also recommend our long-reach header bolts with SureLok washers. They will not back out and don't require retorquing! They're only $20 a set.
I have all these parts in stock.

5.0Brian- Yeah I retorque them at least once if not twice.
Bill-Thanks I will give that some consideration. With the price is any there guarantee these gaskets won't go. I mean that is kinda high for gaskets, but I do understand you get what you pay for.
Thanks everyone.
