right now i have the upgrades in my sig. i just ordered a 1/2 intake spacer and i am wondering what i should do next to gain a good amount of hp without supercharging my car. i was reading that a bigger mass air sensor should not go in conjunction with my cold air intake, so that is out of it. then there is the T/B, heads or pulleys. any recommendations?

Definately get pullies.

pulleys, DR's if your not getting traction, and if you got the money get some headers.

Don't buy injectors or a mass air. Wiast of $
Talk to mark, he is over in the drag forum alot. There is a new ignition called plasma boster, he was gaining almost 2mph. Pullies are also a great upgrade.

thx a lot guys. now...for the brand of underdrive pullies? what would be the best ones? steeda, bbk, mac, saleen, etc.?

plasma booster shmasma booster. my mph was up a little on Saturday too, the density altitude was below zero all day. I had a motor barfing on coolant and still came within 0.4 mph of my best pass ever, lol, I was probably running on 7.5 cylinders or whatever but the air was GREAT.

biggest HP upgrade? N20 buddy! definitely pullies. but hey if somebody can reproduce the 2 mph gain on another car I guess I'll buy into it.

id go with steeda. and while your ordering from them get a timing adjuster.

how much money are you looking to spend?

I think a 351 swap will do very nicely for some extra hp! [burnout]

Jk, like 2000BlackGt said, how much money you looking for?

Josh

i have about 350 or so to mess with...i am a little broke from the 3.73's parts and install! lol

Go with Steeda pullies. Easy to install yourself and also very cheap. You can get them for aroun $150 - $180 or save a bit more and buy some JBA headers as well. My question is who told you you should not put a bigger mass air sensor with your cold air install? If it was Mac then I would have never bought it. I have the WMS Cold air with an 87 mm MAS and it turned out great !

This does not sound like too good of an idea. P&P and cam? WAYYY out of his price range. Bunchmyfunky is hitting 1.78 60' times with DRs and LCAs. Maybe a good idea?

Steeda timing adjuster and Steeda u/d pullies...

Mark has em...

I have em...

Lots of people have that combo. and it works well.

Based on your budget these two items are good ideas [patriot] .

BTW, the Plasma Booster isn't a smashma booster [Wink] . I just installed it, and the reliable ass-dyno never lies. MOF, I'm betting I'll pick up similar gains such as Mark's.

[Embarrassed] . You've already got a x-pipe.

Note to self: read the post.

Definitely underdrive pulleys...

I got my ASP Pulleys with the built-in balancer (non piggy back) from
www.velocitymustangperformance.com for $180 shipped... I heard that Steeda uses ASP pulleys so if they are cheaper, just go with them... I'm just not a Steeda Fan in general...JMPO...

Oh yea and regarding charging issues, you'll be fine... At night at a complete stop with the headlights on and the stereo, the volt guage drops to around O on the N O R M A L ... The interior lights are a bit dimmer (headlight dim is minimal) but once you start moving the volt guage goes back up to around the M... Install is easy as you just need a impact wrench for the Alternator bolt...
