Short somewhere....see what other things are on the same circuit. I think the cigarette lighter is on the same ciruit and could be shorted.

my 89 gt does the same thing..
get this though, my cruise control,and my cigarette light does'nt work neither..
ford i guess. i just rev on people when io get pist...i take it up to like 5,000 rpm that usually catches peoples attention./ [Big Grin]
i made some old man drop his coffee at a light when i was reving on this iroc z.gotta represent! [Wink] gotta love the loud ass h pipe's and flow masters with no catback pipes to silence it. [worship]
my fuses keep on burning out..i found that my lighter is lose on my car...just haven't had time to fix it.what i'm saying that is more than likley to be where the problem is.good luck [Smile]

This sounds kind of stupid but I have seen this prob before make sure there is no change down inside your cigaret lighter.... Its happened to me on occasion...

cigerette lighter, ya there's change in it. It's not hooked up though, I never bothered to hook it up again after I painted everything and put it back together. Thanks all.

yep. i had like 3 penniues in my ashtray. took them out, and replaced the fuse. all is well. [Smile]
