I'm having problems with my car getting hot last night as I was driving home it boiledover on me and the water light came on.I tried to do a flush but that still didn't work it boiledover again.Does anybody know what can be causing this to happen?I noticed also for the last month or so the needle for the water temperature has been moving to the letter L on the word normal so that tells me the car has been getting a little to hot.In case you wanted to know I have a 2000 GT motor. Thanks

Your thermostat might have went south. Replace that with a 180 degree stat and go from there.

Hey I wanted top ask you if you still have that thermostat that I brought over when we installed the motor in my car?

first, check if your thermostate,or if you even have one?
second, check all the coolant lines, including the thottle egr spacer coolant lines, and hoses(passenger side) ..i had a leak there one time that was a bitch.
if that's not it. go get a pressure test done at a radatiator shop. might have to have them route it out for you..a good priced shop will charge around 40-55$
good luck.

Well last night I installed a new Thermostat and and more water but the water light still came on.I remember the car doing this a few months back when I installed the PI heads on my 96 GT motor it was running hot all the time and boilingover.I guess I'll have the car towed to a radiator shop and have it checked.

A 180 thermo won't make a '94+ stang run any cool with out a custom chip to turn on the electric fans sooner. It will only make the car take longer to warm up.
