I am about to get my truck lowered next thursday with a 3/4 drop. I was wondering what shocks to go with? I was thinking HAL 12 way adjustables? what settings should i use for the streets compared to the track? The truck weights 5000 pounds all the weight is up front with a fiberglass bed so any ideas on how to have the settings set? thanks or if there is a better shock for that you can reccomend?

Try a Lightning site, not a mustang site!

seriously, you need some big gad damn units. I don't think anything mustang-specific has a chance in hell in working on your rig.

HAL may have some heavy duty units, and they are known for being ultra-lightweight. But are you seriously scratching to save a pound or two in that beast?

Also, aren't lightnings more like 4500 lbs? Or do you weigh 500? 200 lb. stereo?

my Tahoe has Bilsteins from the factory (and it's curb weight is a true 5000 lbs.) It's hardly "slammed" though.

Now maybe because I'm pregnant and my mind is shot to shit I cant read correctly... But what I see at the top of my screen is "Message Board for Northern California Ford Owners". Hmm, that would mean to me not just Mustangs, since Ford does make other things...

The only way we will get more non-mustang Fords on the site is by helping the ones we have when we can, not just pushing them away. [burnout]

With the Belltech 3/4 drop these will give you the best ride:

Edelbrock front shocks #33987
Doetsch Tech Rear Shocks: #4180G

Make sure you get a cambolt kit
