I'm looking for a cobra R hood, is there anywhere in the state that stocks these? I would like to save on shipping and see what I'm buying first. Brother's & Maier racing carry cowl hoods, not Cobra R's. It's for an 89 LX.

Sac Mustang, I think they have 2.5" Cobra R hoods. Very popular hood around here.

Well, I just looked at the wbsite... they are asking $389. I think that Design Conceps, with shipping is $360.
I'm on a budget at the moment, I'll just keep looking [Roll Eyes]

Thanks for the info!

Maier Racing in Hayward will build you any number of their cowl hoods in their catalog, with custom options as well. For instance, I have a 3" cowl hood with a carbon inner that looks really killer and much different from any of those mail order cookie cutter hoods that you see on every other car. By the time you pay for shipping from back east, Maier's prices are about the same. However, their hoods are not the best fitting, and my dad and I have taken a bunch of hours to get the hood absolutely perfect, so keep that in mind. See Maierracing.com

You get what you pay for with hoods, ALWAYS remember that. I can't count the number of horror stories I've read about people buying the cheaper version and ending up spending hundreds more to finish the hood. Save up and do it right the first time.
